Hours of Operation

Mt. Aurora Skiland is open Saturdays and Sundays whenever there is enough snow to ski. The season normally starts around Thanksgiving and runs until around mid-April.

  • Winter - (November - February) - 10:00 a.m. to dusk or 5:00 p.m. - whichever comes first

  • Spring - (March & April) - 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

DOT's Alaska's Road Way Infomation Service (RWIS) Site on the Steese Highway at Cleary Summit MP 20.9

This weather station is on the Steese Highway at Cleary Summit a little less than a mile from the top of the chairlift. It gives a consistently accurate look at the conditions at Skiland.
